AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 943.01

AND 943.02 REQUIRING CASH DEPOSITS OF TENANTS

TO BE REFUNDED OR CREDITED

WHEREAS, the City of St. Clairsville by Ordinances No. 943.01 and 943.02 required tenants to pay a cash deposit to the City Utility Department; and

WHEREAS, the City of St. Clairsville now desires to repeal said ordinances requiring tenants to pay cash deposits to the City Utility Department; and

WHEREAS, the City Utility Department desires to refund or credit the deposit currently being held toward the active accounts which have been credited.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ST. CLAIRSVILLE, OHIO:

Section 1: That said Ordinances No. 943.01 and 943.02 are hereby repealed.

Section 2: That said City Utility Department shall refund or credit the deposit currently being held toward the active accounts which have been credited.

Section 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.

PASSED at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of St. Clairsville on this 17th day of June, 2017, by the affirmative vote of 6 members of the council.
