AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THE LOWEST AND

BEST BID FOR ST. CLAIR COMMONS UNDERGROUND

DISTRIBUTION INSTALLATION PROJECT IN THE

CITY OF ST. CLAIRSVILLE AND AWARDING

THE CONTRACT TO ERB ELECTRIC

AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, the City of St. Clairsville has received a bid for the St. Clair Commons underground distribution installation project.

WHEREAS, City Council approves the action of the Director of Public Services in acting to advertise and accept the lowest and best bid for said underground distribution installation project.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ST. CLAIRSVILLE, OHIO:

Section 1: That the bid of ERB Electric, 500 Hall Street, Bridgeport, Ohio 43912, in the amount of $355,000.00 for the underground distribution installation project for St. Clair Commons in the City of St. Clairsville, and in accordance with the plans and specifications on file, is determined to be the lowest and best bid after competitive bidding.

Section 2: That the Mayor is authorized and directed to enter into a contract with ERB Electric for the underground distribution installation project at St. Clair Commons and the Director of Finance is authorized to expend the sum of $355,000.00 for this purpose.

Section 3: That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of public health, safety and welfare of the residents of the City of St. Clairsville for the installation project.

Section 4: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by the Charter of the City of St. Clairsville, Ohio.

PASSED at a meeting of the council of the City of St. Clairsville on this 7th day of August, 2017, by the affirmative vote of 7 members of the council.
