A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO
A CONTRACT WITH THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, OHIO
TO JOINTLY PURCHASE, USE AND MAINTAIN
A DURAPATCHER AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the City of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and the Board of Trustees of Richland Township, Ohio, wish to enter into a Contract in order to purchase a piece of equipment; and
WHEREAS, both City and Township wish to jointly purchase, use, maintain and insure a certain piece of equipment known as a Durapatcher.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ST. CLAIRSVILLE, OHIO:
Section 1: That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a Contract with the Board of Trustees of Richland Township, Ohio, to jointly purchase a piece of equipment known as a Durapatcher.
Section 2: That the maintenance and use of said equipment will be used by both parties and titled equally in the names of both parties.
Section 3: That both parties will share and cooperate in the monthly scheduling and use of the Durapatcher.
Section 4: That this Resolution is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and the safety of the residents of the City of St. Clairsville regarding the purchasing of equipment.

PASSED at a meeting of the Council of the City of St. Clairsville on this 18th day of September, 2017, by the affirmative vote of 7 members of the council.
