COUNCIL MINUTES

NOVEMBER 29, 2017

St. Clairsville City Council met for a Special Meeting at 7:45 A.M. in the Mayor’s Office on November 29, 2017, with the following present:

Jim Weisgerber, Council President Terry Pugh, Mayor

Mark Bukmir, Council 3^rd Ward Jim Zucal, Service Director

Linda Jordan, Council-At-Large

Jake Olsavsky, Council 1^st Ward

Frank Sabatino, Council 2^nd Ward

Mike Smith, Council-At-Large

John Tomlan, Council 4^th Ward

The meeting was called to order by President Jim Weisgerber.

There was presented and read to Council on its first reading by title only, RESOLUTION NO. 2017-51; RESOLUTION HIRING KENDAL WEISEND AS SUPERINTENDENT OF THE WATER AND WASTEWATER DEPARTMENTS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Linda Jordan moved that the rules requiring ordinances and resolutions to be read on three separate readings be suspended and declaring an emergency; Jake Olsavsky seconded the motion.

Roll Call Vote: Six (6) Yes Zero (0) No Motion Approved

There was discussion about the new Superintendent, where he lives, if administration felt secure that he would be here long term, his experience and licensing. Jim Zucal: We did a very thorough interview and feel sure that he will be here long term and he has a year to obtain his Class II Wastewater license.

There was presented and read to Council on its third and final reading by title only, RESOLUTION NO. 2017-51. A motion was made by Frank Sabatino and seconded by Mark Bukmir that Resolution No. 2017-51 be passed by Council.
