Resolution Number 2018-10

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF ST. CLAIRSVILLE TO PREPARE AND SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE NATUREWORKS PROGRAM FOR PUBLIC RECREATION AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, the State of Ohio through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, administers financial assistance for public recreation purposes, through the State of Ohio NatureWorks Program; and

WHEREAS, the City of St. Clairsville desires financial assistance under the NatureWorks Program.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ST. CLAIRSVILLE, OHIO:

Section 1:        That the Council of the City of St. Clairsville approves filing an application for financial assistance.

Section 2:        That the Mayor of the City of St. Clairsville is hereby authorized and directed to execute and file an application with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and to provide all information and documentation required to become eligible for possible funding assistance.

Section 3:        That the City of St. Clairsville does agree to obligate the funds required to satisfactorily complete the proposed project and become eligible for reimbursement under the terms of the use of NatureWorks Grant Program.

Section 4:        That this Resolution is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety and such that Council for the City of St. Clairsville desires to apply for financial assistance for public recreation purposes.

Section 5:        This Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by the Charter of the City of St. Clairsville, Ohio.
