RESOLUTION NO. 2019 – 8
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE SERVICE DIRECTOR
TO TAKE PRELIMINARY MEASURES TO
ADVERTISE FOR AND ACCEPT QUALIFICATIONS AND
PROPOSALS FOR THE SALE AND PRIVATIZATION
OF THE CITY OF ST. CLAIRSVILLE’S WATER AND
WASTEWATER SYSTEM AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable to investigate the sale and privatization of the City’s water and wastewater system and related assets.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ST. CLAIRSVILLE, OHIO, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Service Director the City of St. Clairsville is authorized to take preliminary measures to advertise for and accept qualifications and proposals (RFQ/RFP process) for the sale and privatization of the City’s water and wastewater systems and related assets.
Section 2: That this Resolution is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and the safety of the residents of the City of St. Clairsville so that the City can maintain normal operations.
Section 3: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by the Charter of the City of St. Clairsville, Ohio.
