SUBJECT:   Water Town Hall Teleconference to be held on Thursday, April 23, 2020

DATE:         April 15, 2020

RELEASE:    IMMEDIATE

Mayor Thalman invites City residents to participate in a special Town Hall meeting on Thursday, April 23, at 7 P. M.  For everyone’s safety, this Water Town Hall will be conducted in a teleconference format.

To enable the public to have their questions answered, a deadline for submitting questions of close of business on April 22, 2020 has been established; this is one day before the actual teleconference meeting.  Please provide your name and street address when submitting questions to insure that residents receive priority.  City residents are asked to submit in advance any question they have in one of two ways, specifically by:

  • emailing stevenovotney@yahoo.com OR
  • for residents without internet service, calling the City’s main phone line (740-695-1324).

Residents’ questions will be answered by:

  • Jeff Vaugh, a local engineer, if they are on the topic of available water options; or
  • Tony Mancari, a representative of Aqua Ohio, if they relate to a possible sale of the water and wastewater utilities.

Steve Novotney, a veteran local journalist, will serve as moderator for the event.  A DIAL-IN PHONE NUMBER and ACCESS CODE have been secured, allowing residents to participate in a LISTEN ONLY mode.  Immediately prior to the 7 P. M. start of the Water Town Hall teleconference meeting, residents should dial 740-232-9309 and enter the following Access Code number 2794.
