RESOLUTION 2021-22

 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF

ST. CLAIRSVILLE TO ENTER INTO A FACILITIES AGREEMENT WITH

THE AMERICAN ELECTRIC POWER SERVICE CORPORATION, AS AGENT FOR

OHIO POWER COMPANY AND AEP OHIO TRANSMISSION COMPANY, INC.,

AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, the American Electric Power Service Corporation, as agent for Ohio Power Company and AEP Ohio Transmission Company, Inc. and  the City of St. Clairsville, Ohio, are desirous of entering into a Facilities Agreement known as the St. Clairsville Delivery Point Facilities Agreement; and

WHEREAS, the purpose of this Facilities Agreement is to provide for installing facilities to service the existing 69 kV St. Clairsville Delivery Point, referred to in the Interconnection and Local Delivery Service Agreement (“ILDSA”) and this Facilities Agreement as the “St. Clairsville Delivery Point”.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ST. CLAIRSVILLE, OHIO:

SECTION 1:  That the Mayor is authorized to enter into the St. Clairsville Delivery Point Facilities Agreement with the American Electric Power Service Corporation, as agent for Ohio Power Company.

SECTION 2:  That this Resolution is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety of the residents of the City of St. Clairsville so that the City can maintain normal electrical operations.

SECTION 3:  This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by the Charter of the City of St. Clairsville, Ohio.

PASSED at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of St. Clairsville on this 2nd day of August, 2021, by the affirmative vote of 7 members of the Council.
