Ordinance Number 2021-23 is titled “AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF ST. CLAIRSVILLE, OHIO, TO ACCEPT THE MATERIAL TERMS OF THE ONEOHIO SUBDIVISION SETTLEMENT PURSUANT TO THE ONEOHIO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING AND CONSISTENT WITH THE TERMS OF THE JULY 21, 2021 NATIONAL OPIOID SETTLEMENT AND TO SIGN THE ONEOHIO SUBDIVIDION PARTICIPATION FORM, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY”
This legislation was needed to accept the material terms of the OneOhio settlement pursuant to the OneOhio Memorandum of Understanding and consistent with the terms of the National Opioid Settlement and to sign the OneOhio Participation Form. The legislation had to be adopted before August 13, necessitating this special Council meeting.
