Due to a water line break which occurred this morning (Dec. 28th) in the vicinity of 114 Taylor Lane, all residents on Taylor Lane who experienced water loss are now covered by a 48-Hour Boil Order.  The City reports that water service was restored at 3:05 P. M. today.  Residents around the area of Taylor Lane may have experienced temporary water pressure issues and/or discoloration.

A Code Red notice earlier was sent to impacted households which have signed up for the Belmont County Code Red alert system.  If you have not already done so, the City recommends signing up for these important notices.  A member of the Municipal Utility Office can assist you with the signup if needed.

If you have any questions, please contact the Municipal Utility Office at 740-695-1410 during normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 8:30 A. M. – 4:30 P. M.).  A reminder that Monday, January 2, is a federal holiday since New Year’s Day falls on a Sunday.  As such, City offices — except the Police Department — will be closed this coming Monday.

Thank you.
